This extensive interior renovation consisted of new drywall partitions; replacement of millwork at the checkout and information desks; new study centers and computer desks; new carousels and racks; new carpeting and paint throughout; the refurbishing of three washrooms including plumbing fixtures, ceramic tiles; vanities and washroom accessories; new lighting fixtures; and the reupholstering of existing furniture. The library was closed down for one month during construction and re-opened on schedule. During the course of construction, the client was able to significantly increase the budget and added numerous value added items to the scope of work. Dasd worked with the client after the reopening to perform this work after hours and around the library’s schedule.
