Description:
This project involved consolidating 3 adjacent units in an existing strip mall to create a Community Healthcare Hub. The 2-story unit was designed to incorporate doctors' offices and examination rooms; dental offices; classrooms; kitchens and bathrooms; reception and waiting areas; and complete new storefronts and facade. Demolition of the existing commercial space was required, as well as significant structural work to reinforce the existing OWSJ, and the addition of columns and beams to create an opening in the roof deck for a large skylight.
